Childhood Life

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to everyone.

Hi ! we meet again :)
Today I want to share about the childhood life.

Imagination of a young children is very high. Sometimes the old people do not understand the children.

Before that, I would like to tell you guys a short story. There was a young boy who became a close friend of mine. We played together, run here and run there, then we both stop under the mango tree, smile, then laugh and talk...
He said to me " If I will become rich, I will buy you a big doll that look exactly like you, and a big house where we can play, and live together with full of toys that everything we need so that our happiness will never end... "

Be a children such a good time for ever. They do not have a problem and do not have any big commitment. If we have the machine time like in the Doraemon cartoon, I am very sure, that many of us like to go back to our childhood life. Our old childhood life are not the same with the childhood of the children now a days.

In this modern era, children life are more with gadgets compared with the people around them. Compare to our old times, we are busy build relation with people around us and get to know many new knowledge.
Children now a days a more expert in gadgets compared to adults. It is not a possible if your younger sisters or brothers teach you about the gadgets.

In my opinion, I think the children in this era are not as glad as we are because they are not able to have the enjoyable moments with their friends in their childhood life like us. But if we see on the positive side, they are lucky because they have been exposed with the technology that are very usefull for their era.

that's all from me. thanks for reading :)

Cultural Taboos

Assalamualaikum and a very good day to everybody.

There are a few cultural taboos that we are usually heard ;

  • sitting on the pillow - will cause a blain at butt
  • sitting on stairs - will delayed your marriage
  • singing at the kitchen - will marry an old man
  • change your place while eating - married with more than one persons.
Do you believe all that things? when I am still children, I believe all that nonsense things. But I confident some of us still believe all that cultural taboos that I have list down above.

So, as a Y generations, I want to correct it and make the people outside there to think rationally.
First, the old people said that if we sitting on the pillow, it will cause a blain at our butt. Actually the reason is we are not polite to sitting on the pillow as we use it to lay our head on it. Then, the old people also said that if we are sitting on the stairs it will delayed our marriage. The reason behind all of this is they afraid if we are falling down while sitting on the stairs.

Other than that, we are not aloud to sing at the kitchen. I am sure the question 'why I am not aloud to do that?' play in your mind.As a teenager,we are curious to know the meanings behind all of this. Am I right? So now, I would to tell you that the old people does not aloud it because it is a nightmare when your food in the pan BURNT!! Automatically your dishes will taste bad and no want are dare to eat it. Lastly,do you know that we are not aloud to change our place while eating? The old people said that if we change our place while eating, we will marry with more than one person. Behind of this story, actually they afraid if we spill out the food and mess the place. So, they make this nonsense story just to scare us.

So people, do not believe the scary things easily. Think wisely ! but do not blame the old people because all of what they said, they are for  our own goodness.

Baby Dumping

Nowadays, our country has grown either in terms of the economy, the political social or in the tide of modernization and globalization. Today, the name of Malaysia is well-known on the world stage. As Malaysians, we should be proud of the success that are minted by the Malaysian in all over the world. However, behind the glory, Malaysians still haunted with social diseases that have long nested in our society, namely the problem of abandoned babies or baby dumping. This problem keep increasing day by day, non-stop and usually happens among teenagers. The question is , what are the factors of this problem because there must be a reason behind every problem. Why this could happen?

In this case, we can not deny that the lack of religious education is one of the main reasons the case of baby dumping. The lack of religious education and a guide in their life caused them to lose direction in life then involved in negative symptoms, such as free lifestyle without boundaries which in turn leads to the birth of children born out of wedlock. In such situations, the teen without any religious education would be inhumane and left the newborn in places such as public toilets, trash cans, side drains without thinking twice.

In addition, the authorities, especially the police should combat the distribution of obscene materials from access by members of the public, especially teenagers. The authorities should also impose penalties more severe and heavier prison for life to those who are found guilty. This should be done to make teenagers feel fear to do or get involved with all the negative issues. They will also be careful while mingling and avoid a relationship that goes beyond religious restrictions. The emphasis on education is also important for alerting the community especially the youth so that they don't get caught up in social problems involving crime.

Furthermore, the attitude of a society that likes to criticize and give punishment also causes social problems this caused. When one young female birth out of wedlock, the local community tend to insulting the her and her family too! There are no mercy in their eyes. Indirectly, the youth will also be considered degrading his family. In order to take care of her own image as well as the family in the society eyes, they will take the easy way with dumping their baby to avoid from being humiliated to the end of their life.

World Poverty

Have you ever heard a song in title "Where Is The Love" by The Black Eyed Peas? If you already heard it,do you understand the meaning of this song that they are trying to say or you just singing it because of the great melodies? Do you? Why don't we take a moment to read and understand it together.

Where is the love (the love)
Where is the love (the love)
Where is the love
The love, the love
It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respecting each other, deny the brother
A war is going on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret (shh, shh), it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all
People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek

I clearly understand what is on your mind, you might think that this song has nothing to do at all with our post's title (world poverty) but actually poverty comprises in many dimensions, not only for being poor. One of the dimension that we are trying to point out is love. Why love? Well, love is the root of everything that happens in this world. War, the hungers, killing, fighting, abuse, refugees and many other negative things happened because of one thing that the human race is lacking of ; love.

According to the news, there are huge population of poor people in this world and the number increases day by day but they forgot to report the vice versa ; there are also a huge population of rich people and the numbers are also increasing day by day! Why can't the rich shares their wealth with the poor even a little bit?. Well my friend, nowadays, sense of materialism that the world is getting stronger and stronger about every day. We, as people, care more about money and things more than beliefs, culture, and politics. The importance of others is nothing to us.

Napoleon once said "The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people. But because of the silence of good people". This is actually the sad truth about what is happening everyday on this mother earth. Wake up people, wake up! Do you think that all the negative things happens in other countries would not effect yours? You are totally wrong! Egypt for example, it was a peaceful country last year but then a war happen in a blink of an eye. That's why when there are people in need we need to help, even send them a prayer is consider as one of the help.

So, start from now, let us spread the love for a better future for the next generation!

Impoliteness Among Youths

In contemporary world, it seems as though more and more teenagers are inclined to act disrespectfully toward adults. The notion that the youth must respect their elders has completely vanished. What has replaced this attitude is a sense of disobedience, and rudeness. Some contributors include the lack of discipline from parents, the mimicking of friends’ attitudes toward adults and how the media portrays disrespectful teenagers as being hip. For example, some of the teenagers nowadays do not feel shame to use bad words like bitch, slut or stupid in front of their parents.

Modern families contain parents who are more driven and focused on their careers and less focused on the success of their family. “Becoming a teenager brings with it a host of new emotions, attitudes and behaviors. As kids age 13 to 19 move from childhood to maturity, they often experiment with language to express their boundaries and talk back to parents in ways that are inappropriate. It then becomes the parents’ duty to instruct their children how to speak with respect to authorities.” As we know, the parents should be more responbility by teaching their children the correct way of behaving toward adults.

Now more than ever, teens are mimicking the disrespectful and disobedient attitude, which their friends exhibit at school. This can mainly be seen between a student and a teacher. The same attitude that is being used toward parents is used against school officials. Schools should enforce more disciplinary action against these rude teens so as to make them pay for their lack of respect. As teenagers go about their daily lives, they observe others being rude to their friends and their parents, so they in turn do the same. If we are concern with the teenagers whenever they are with their friend, they tend to call their friends like "Hey stupid, come over here" or saying to someone "You bitch" whenever they are angry towards someone. These kind of words are like being a must-say-word in a day.

The media portrays disrespectful teenagers as being “cool” and therefore has contributed to this epidemic. We see more and more disrespectful teenagers on TV because it is entertaining to watch. However, this should not be at the expense of our future society’s behavior. For example, on the popular reality show “My Super Sweet Sixteen,” spoiled adolescent girls treat their parents with a lack of respect in order to get what they want. It is apparent, in this TV show, that the parents of these 16-year-olds only care about buying their children happiness when, in fact, the child feeds off of this carelessness and would like to take the power away from the parents and bring it upon themselves.

SELF-INTRODUCTION

PART I

The girl with the blue dress is me :)

Assalamualaikum and hye I greet to my fellow readers. First and foremost, let me introduce myself. My name is Syazwani binti Mohd Pouzi and you can just call me Wani. I was born in a quite big town that is popular with a food named ‘budu’ which is Kota Bharu, Kelantan on 25th January 1994 but then my family moved to Terengganu as my dad was offered to work at one of the company at Kerteh at that time . There I spent the past seventeen years of my life going to school.

There are six members altogether in my family. I got a very kind and sporting dad who is Mohd Pouzi bin Omar and a very loving caring and soft-spoken mom who is Wan Ruhaya binti Wan Hussin. Both of them are at the same age and still working to find money to support our study. For your information I am the only daughter in my family and I have two elder brothers and a handsome little brother. The eldest one is 24th years old and he is working at a company in Terengganu. The second brother is 21st years old and he is taking Medic at Alexandria University, Egypt while the last one was just finished with his UPSR examination a mere two weeks ago.

About my study, actually I am not so interested in taking this course, what I meant is Engineering course even though both of my parents and my eldest brother is in the same course with me while they are studying. My interest is more to something like Culinary Arts because my goal is I want to own a bakery or a coffee shop in the future. I once have been offered to further my studies in this course but I myself also have no idea for why I choose Engineering rather than Culinary Arts.

I think that is all about myself-introduction. Feel free to ask if there’s something you curious about. Thank you!

PART III

PEEK-A-BOO!! Assalamualaikum, well hello there my fellow readers! First of all I want to apologize for all of the awkwardness I'm going to write about because actually I'm not use to make self-introductions such like this. But Okay, why don't give it a try ? Who knows I might have a hidden talent for writing ? *giggling*

Alright, let’s start with a brief self-introduction.  My name is Nurul Hanun Bt Mehamad Tarmizi and you can call me Hanun, Che Nun, Nun or whatever you're comfortable with. I don't mind. Currently, I'm 19 years old and as you may know it's the end of my teenager years but getting older is not a problem because growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional!. I was born in Kelantan, so, officially I am a Kelantanese. I think I'm quite a loyal person because I spend 17 years of my life here in Kelantan.

Okay, enough with that, let’s move on to my family. Starting with my heroic dad, his name is Mehamad Tarmizi bin Kasim and beside him, my lovely mom is Sarina bt Deraman. Both of them are still working to afford our large family.  I have six siblings including me. The first one named Hanani followed by Hanif, Hanun (me), Hanis, Hanin, and finally Hanan. All of us are still studying.

As for hobby, I love cycling very much. Not as a sport but cycling at the morning and the evening to enjoy the scenery and take some fresh air. Some people might think that it’s kind of boring but as for me, that is the time where I can have a peace in my mind and escape from my crowded daily life.

I think that’s all from me. Thank you for reading my long post J
